LEONHARD KURZ Stiftung & Co. KG is a family owned company established about 100 years ago. From its beginning as a gold foil producer, it is today a leading manufacturer in the world of security hotstamping foils.

KURZ established its presence in the U.S. by the take over of the Hastings company in 1972. KURZ expanded its business by the foundation of KURZ Transfer Products L.P. in Charlotte, N.C. as sales office and manufacturing plant for security products.

Off-Line disintegration
Basically all off-line currency & classified waste disintegration systems consist of a storage and feeding system, a two-stage disintegration technology based on pre-crushing and granulating, a briquetting system to compact the volume of dust and shreds as well as cleaning transport air and finally the control and security system. Once again tradition and technology team together to shape a new series, launching the compact series RDS-100, CDS-100, CDS-150 and CDS-250 as well as the larger systems CDS-500, CDS-750 and CDS-1000.

On-Line technology
All over the world many Central Banks operate banknote processing systems. Kusters supplies sophisticated on-line granulation systems for the connection to sorters whenever high volumes and shred rates are expected. The success of any on-line technology is totally dependent on how pneumatic shred transport and briquetting technology is integrated. The variety of these OBS applications will suit any client’s individual requirement.

Coin invalidation
Kusters offers a complete range of technologies geared towards the process of withdrawing circulation coins. Besides the patented Coin Crushing technology (CCS) that guarantees the absolute deformation of a coin, Kusters developed a technology to unpack coins that are wrapped in rolls, the Coin Unwrapping System (CUS).

KE-MAPRIS™
Kusters Engineering has developed a sophisticated Management and Process Information System. Any Kusters' system can be equipped with KE-MAPRIS™. It retrieves and stores valuable data regarding the destruction process but also reproduces it in clear batch reports, personnel lists, targeting, planning and other overviews. KE-MAPRIS™ substantially increases security, productivity and effectiveness of the banknote disintegration operation.

Oesterreichische Banknoten- und Sicherheitsdruck GmbH (OeBS)

Founded in 1816 as part of the ”Privilegierte Oesterreichische Nationalbank”, the department was converted into the Oesterreichische Banknoten- und Sicherheitsdruck GmbH – a limited company completely owned by the Oesterreichische Nationalbank – in 1998.

Today, the OeBS group operates globally in the following fields: banknote and securities printing for central bank customers, detectors for high security features and solutions for banknote sorting systems. Moreover the OeBS also aims to provide products and services, which efficiently meet the needs of banknote printers and of organizations involved in the processing of banknotes in circulation. Orell Füssli, founded in 1519, is one of the world's oldest printing companies. Securency's substrate for banknotes is known as Guardian®. The proven security, quality, cleanliness and cost-effectiveness of Guardian® substrate has launched a new era in banknotes, and global interest is growing rapidly. Guardian® polymer substrate is quickly being recognized as the superior alternative to paper banknotes.
